• Surgeons experience: It is the most important factor that decides the cost of tummy tuck in the following ways:
  • A board-certified surgeons price will be more
  • An experienced and especially skilled surgeon will charge more
• Fees of the surgeon is directly proportional to his demand, reputation and popularity among patients
• Complexity of your surgery: The extent and complexity of the procedure also determines its cost. Tummy tuck can be a mini, full or extended procedure and the extent of procedure is a major contributing factor of its cost. A partial abdominoplasty has a higher price than full abdominoplasty and mini-tummy tuck, being a less complicated surgery, costs less than full tummy tuck. In fact, the cases which require only skin removal will cost less as compared to cases in which tightening of the muscles is also required.
• Combined or single procedure: If tummy tuck surgery is combined with other procedures like liposuction for better results, the cost will obviously be more.
• Anesthesia: Anesthesia and anesthesiologists charge will add up to the cost of tummy tuck. So a surgery performed under local anesthesia will usually costs less as compared to a surgery done under general anesthesia.
• Need of surgical assistant: In some cases of full or extended abdominoplasty, surgeon may need a surgical assistant. This will definitely increase the cost of procedure.
• Hospital stay charges: If surgery needs an overnight stay in the hospital, the cost will include hospital facility charges.
• Other costs: Some of the additional costs may include things like preoperative tests and compression garments that the patient is required to wear to minimize his pain and discomfort.

But in every condition if you choose to undergo tummy tuck procedure, you are always advised to choose a surgeon that will make sure to achieve your goals of weight loss irrespective of his charges.
