Acne is a part of growing up and despite all the wishing it away, it only goes away after a certain age. There are, however, a number of triggers of acne in our day to day lives. Without us even realising, these things are only making the acne worse.
There are two things that need to be kept in mind when you use makeup every day. The first is to make sure that the makeup has not expired and the second is to make sure that you never go to sleep with your makeup on.
The surface of your mobile phone is filled with so many germs that are only aggravating your acne and making it worse. Make sure to clean the surface of your mobile phone every single day and try using the Bluetooth or speakerphone mode when you are making calls.
This is one of the worst yet least recognized aggravators of acne. If you are someone who sleeps with their face down on the pillow, you need to make sure that your pillowcase is being washed very frequently. The easier solution would be to sleep with your face facing upwards.
Your hair touches your face a high number of times every single day. If your hair has any kind of product or mousse that has been applied to it, it will be touching your face as well by default. This can prove to be a big aggravator of acne.
Staying in a steaming hot shower for an extremely long amount of time is not good for your skin. If you stay in the shower for too long, it turns your skin itchy and dry. If you are someone who is already prone to acne, this is only going to aggravate it.
Washing your face too often.
If you wash your face more than two times a day, it leads to dry skin. Dry skin leads to the production of more oil which in turn leads to greater chances of occurrence of acne. So make sure that you aren’t washing your face too many times a day.
The material that your clothes are made up of can also lead to greater chances of acne. If the material is of a kind that will irritate the skin, such as wool or leather, it increases the chances of acne in that particular area. Wear clothes made of material that allow the skin to breathe.
Touching our faces is something that we do multiple times a day, without even realising that we are doing it. However, our hands are not clean all these times. Make it a habit to wash your hand whenever they have gotten dirty.
Air conditioners once again possess the chances of drying out your skin. This can lead to an increased production of oil in order to make up for the dryness of the skin. So keep your faces away from the direct blast of the air conditioner, to prevent aggravating your skin.
For everyone who waxes hair off of their face or any other body part, make sure that the wax that is being used is compatible with your body. In case it is not, then it is going to cause irritation in that particular area and can even lead to serious acne.
